Edgar Wolff (* 1959 in Deizisau ) is a German politician ( Free Voters ) and since July 2009 District Administrator of the Göppingen district .

education and profession

After studying administrative sciences , which he graduated in 1982 with a degree in administrative management (FH) , he worked from 1982 to 1997 as a civil servant at the city ​​of Stuttgart in the personnel office and as head of the organization department in the main office. From 1991 to 1999 he was also a lecturer at the University of Public Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg and a speaker at the communal community center for administrative management .

Political career

When he was elected mayor in 1997 in Ebersbach an der Fils , he was able to prevail against the previous incumbent Martin Schurr with 54.7% of the votes and was re-elected in 2005 with 95.7% of the votes. From 2004 to 2009 he was also district councilor in the district of Göppingen.

On April 3, 2009 Wolff was elected in the third ballot of the district council with 33 of 64 votes to the district administrator of the district of Göppingen. He was supported by the parliamentary groups of the Free Voters, the SPD and the Greens .

Other offices

In his role as District Administrator, he is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kreissparkasse Göppingen . He is also chairman of the supervisory board of the Alb Fils clinics .
