Gotthold Brendle

Gotthold Brendle (born April 4, 1892 in Stuttgart , † September 3, 1963 in Hayingen ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

After studying law at the University of Tübingen , among others , he passed the first state examination in 1915 and the second state examination in 1920/21 for the higher judicial service. After working briefly as an auxiliary prosecutor in Schwäbisch Hall , he joined in May 1921 in the Wurttemberg internal administration and was first bailiff at Oberamt Göppingen . In 1925 he switched to the state trade office as a government councilor . In 1928 he was temporarily entrusted with the management of the Reutlingen employment office and, in 1929, as a senior government councilor in the Reich Labor Administration, he was head of the Reutlingen employment office.

From 1932 he was a member of the supervisory board , later chairman of the supervisory board of Deutsche Gelatine-Fabriken AG , whose plant was founded in Göppingen by his father-in-law Paul Koepff and his brother Heinrich. He was in the management of this company until 1961.

On 31 May 1946 he was the district council to district administrator in the district of Göppingen selected, but referring during his tenure as district no references. In May 1948 he resigned after disputes with the American occupation powers and returned to the management of the company.

In 1945 Brendle was one of the co-founders of the CDU in the Göppingen district and was CDU district chairman for a long time. In 1946 he was a member of the state constituent assembly in Württemberg-Baden and represented the constituency of Göppingen in the 1st and 2nd state parliaments of Württemberg-Baden .

Brendle was married and had two daughters and a son. He lived in Stuttgart and Hayingen until his death.
