Edgardo Simón (born December 16, 1974 ) is a former Argentine cyclist .
Athletic career
Edgardo Simon rode track cycling and on the road. On the track, he won the bronze medal at the track cycling world championships in two-man team driving in 2000 and 2002 . At the South American Games he won the single pursuit in 2002 and the team pursuit at the Pan American Games .
On the road, Simon became the South American road racing champion in 2002. In his most successful year, he won the Vuelta Ciclista Por Un Chile Líder in 2005 and also won the overall ranking of the UCI America Tour by a clear margin. In the following years he was able to win multiple stages in South American races. In 2014 he ended his cycling career.
