Edmond Marin La Meslée (born February 5, 1912 in Valenciennes , † February 4, 1945 near Dessenheim , Alsace ) was a French fighter pilot in World War II .

During the German attack on France he was stationed as a professional soldier in Jagdgruppe I / 5 and probably the most successful French pilot in this campaign. With his P-36 , an aircraft of American design, he shot down nine German aircraft from May 12 to 19, 1940, four of them Ju 87s in a single mission.

His first victory in the air was on January 17, 1940 against a Do 17 . When France surrendered on June 21, 1940, Marin La Meslée had won 15 confirmed and five unconfirmed aerial victories in 101 combat missions and was promoted to commodore of Jagdgruppe I / 5. It was shot down by German flak on February 4, 1945 near Dessenheim.
