Edmund Massau
Edmund Massau (born November 16, 1860 in Düsseldorf ; † 1935 there ) was a German landscape, figure and history painter.
Massau was a student of his father, the copper engraver Franz Paul Massau . Massau studied at the Royal Prussian Academy in Düsseldorf under Johann August Wilhelm Sohn , Johann Peter Theodor Janssen and Franz Karl Eduard von Gebhardt .
He mainly occupied himself with landscape painting and, like his father, became a member of the Düsseldorf paint box . His paintings depicting forests in particular bear witness to his great artistic maturity.
Massau lived in Düsseldorf at Graf-Recke-Straße 22.
