Edoardo Anton

Edoardo Anton (actually Edoardo Antonelli , born January 7, 1910 in Rome , † May 16, 1986 ibid) was an Italian screenwriter and film director .

Life

Anton initially followed in the footsteps of his father Luigi Antonelli (1882–1942), who as a playwright had devoted himself to the comedic subject. First pieces such as Non è ancora primavera and La ragazza del bersagliere were created. He also wrote about films as a journalist. In 1935 he wrote his first screenplay, Il serpente a sonagli, based on his own play; by 1980 he worked on around 70 films, mostly comedies in this capacity. His work as a director is mainly Italian versions of various co-productions , none of which is considered significant. Anton also worked as a radio play author for the Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche , where he worked from 1937 to 1941.
