action

Cinderella has married her prince and lives a happy life at court, loved and carefree. However, the two wicked stepsisters succeed through their intrigues that Cschenbrödel is chased away. The prince wants to follow her, which the king forbids him to do. However, Mr. Bonaventura and the beautiful Cece set out to find her. Your journey is accompanied by dangers: the cruel robber Barbariccia, a witch and a wild giant endanger the mission, but in the end Cinderella can be brought back with the help of a good fairy.

criticism

Giuseppe De Santis complained that director Tofano had lost much of his genius, that the motifs were unconnected and did not show good taste.

In contrast, the lexicon of international film saw a “carefully designed fairy tale film full of restrained humor, very adapted to childish fantasy.” The film observer, on the other hand, saw the continuation of the story “with all due respect for southern capers and romantic irony (...) probably a little too far."
