Edolf Aasen

Edolf Aasen (born August 26, 1877 in Steinkjer , † December 8, 1969 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian printer .

Life

Edolf Aasen completed an apprenticeship as a typographer at the former newspaper company Innherredsposten in Steinkjer in 1910 with a journeyman's examination. Aasen worked professionally for several employers in Trondheim until 1911, for example for the printing company Waldemar Jensen, the Adresseavisen and the Dagsposten.

Aasen then moved to Oslo, where he worked for the daily newspapers Morgenposten, Sjøfartstidende, Nations and the weekly papers Allers and Verdens Gang , before setting up his own printing company on April 20, 1926, Aasen's Boktrykkeri . In 1951 he appointed his son Einar Paasche Aasen to be co-owner. The Aasen's Boktrykkeri was sold in 1972.

Edolf Aasen married the politician Augusta Aasen nee Paasche in Steinkjer in 1899 , with whom he had two sons, namely Einar Paasche Aasen and the working-class poet Arne Paasche Aasen .
