Eduard Ehrenhöfler

Eduard Ehrenhöfler (born May 14, 1936 in Rohrbrunn ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and master carpenter in Burgauberg . Ehrenhöfler was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and regional councilor in the Burgenland state government .

Life

Ehrenhöfler was born as the son of the former mayor and master carpenter Eduard Ehrenhöfler and attended elementary school in Burgauberg. He then moved to the secondary school in Fürstenfeld and then attended the commercial school between 1953 and 1956. Between 1956 and 1959 Ehrenhöfler completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in Salzburg and then worked as a journeyman carpenter. He also completed a commercial apprenticeship. From 1959 Ehrenhöfler worked in his parents' company, which he took over in 1963. Before that, he had passed the master craftsman examination in Eisenstadt in 1962. Ehrenhöfler opened a furniture store in Oberwart in 1971, followed by a branch in Mattersburg in 1976, and in 1986 he also took over a furniture store in Kemeten. In 1990 he had the furniture store in Oberwart expanded, while in 1991 the opening of a studio in Eisenstadt followed. In 1986 Ehrenhöfler was appointed to the Commercial Council.

From 1975 Ehrenhöfler was councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Commerce and deputy chairman of the furniture trade . Between 1980 and 1987 he headed the committee as head of the state and held the function of vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce. In 1987, Ehrenhöfler was President for a short time and then Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. Ehrenhöfler was also regional group chairman of the Burgenland Economic Association from 1977 and vice-president of the Austrian Economic Association between 1985 and 1994. From 1994 he was also a member of the Presidium.

In the ÖVP, Ehrenhöfler was a member of the Güssing district party leadership from 1965, and in 1982 he was elected deputy district party chairman. He was a local councilor in Burgauberg-Neudauberg and was a member of the committee from 1970 to 1977. Between 1977 and 1987 he held the office of mayor . Between 1978 and 1991 Ehrenhöfler was also the local party chairman of the ÖVP.

Ehrenhöfler represented the ÖVP between October 29, 1982 and October 30, 1987 in the state parliament and was then regional councilor in the Burgenland state government until June 27, 1996. Ehrenhöfler belonged to the provincial governments Sipötz and Stix I to.
