Eduard Gaertig

Eduard Gaertig (born July 30, 1886 in Konradswaldau , Trebnitz district , † after 1933) was a German teacher and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Gaertig was born in Konradswaldau near Prausnitz . After graduating from primary school, he attended the preparatory institute in Schweidnitz and the teachers' seminar in Oels , which he completed with an examination. From 1907 to 1911 he worked as a teacher at various rural schools in Silesia. From 1911 to 1924 he worked as a teacher at a municipal elementary school in Breslau . He was a member of the Wroclaw-West district teachers 'council and a member of the board of the Wroclaw teachers' association.

Gaertig joined the SPD in 1918. In February 1921 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he was a member until 1924. In parliament he represented constituency 7 (Breslau).

Gaertig was appointed in 1922 as a councilor in Berlin's police headquarters . From 1926 until his transfer into temporary retirement in 1932 he was District Administrator of the district Schleusingen . From 1929 he was also responsible for the police administration in Suhl .
