Eduard Müller (politician, 1855)

Carl Louis Christian Eduard Müller (born May 31, 1855 in Lauscha ; † ~ 1912 ) was a German manufacturer, councilor and politician of the National Liberal Party (NLP).

Eduard Müller was born as the son of the owner of a glassworks. He completed secondary school from 1869 to 1873 in Saalfeld and then in 1873 and 1874 commercial training. With the 96th Regiment in Rudolstadt he was a one-year volunteer in 1875 and 1876 and was promoted to sergeant in the armed forces . From 1877 to 1882 he worked as an accountant and from 1882 to 1889 was director of the New York and Rudolstadt Pottery Comp. in Rudolstadt . In 1890 he founded his own porcelain factory under the company E. & A. Müller in Schwarza-Saalbahn . In the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt , he has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since it was founded.

In June 1898 he entered the Reichstag as a member of the National Liberal Party for the constituency of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in the 10th electoral period in the second ballot with a result of 52.09% . Until the end of the legislative period in June 1903, he was active in the committees for postal affairs and child labor, but did not run for the next legislative period. Since 1905 he was a member of the city council of Rudolstadt. In the constituency of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt was re-elected in January 1907 in the 12th electoral period, which lasted until January 1912, with 56.19%, this time he was active in the committees for housework and bird protection. In addition, he was involved in drafting the law for the Chamber of Labor .
