Eduard Mall
Eduard Mall (born August 27, 1843 in St. Wendel , † April 10, 1892 in Heidelberg ) was a German Romance and English studies .
life and work
Mall studied in Bonn, received his doctorate in Halle an der Saale with the thesis De aetate rebusque Mariae Francicae nova quaestio instituitur (1867) and completed his habilitation in Breslau on The harrowing of Hell. The old English game of Christ's Descent into Hell (Berlin 1871). In 1873 he became an associate professor for Romance studies and English studies in Münster , and from 1874 to 1892 he held the same double professorship in Würzburg . He died at the age of 48.
