Eduard Rückert

Eduard Rückert (born November 23, 1822 in Hildburghausen , † August 17, 1880 in Meiningen ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Rückert attended high school in Hildburghausen and studied law at the universities of Jena and Berlin . During his studies he became a member of the Arminia fraternity in the castle cellar in the winter semester of 1840/41 . From 1849 he was a lawyer and from 1873 district court director in Sonneberg near Coburg . In 1874 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. From 1852 to 1853 and from 1860 to 1877 he was a member of the Meininger Landtag, in 1863 chairman of the Domaine Committee and from 1868 President of the Landtag. He was a co-founder of the National Association and a member of the German Congress of Representatives.

In 1867 he was a member of the constituent Reichstag for the constituency of Sachsen-Meiningen 2 (Sonneberg - Saalfeld) and from 1877 until his resignation in 1879 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Meiningen 1 (Meiningen - Hildburghausen) and the National Liberal Party .
