Eduard Sachsse
Eduard Hugo Ludwig Sachsse (born August 1, 1885 in Herborn ; † November 5, 1930 ibid.) Was a German Protestant theologian and Old Testament scholar .
After studying theology in Bonn and Berlin , where he also became a member of the local Wingolf associations , from 1918 he worked as a private lecturer for the Old Testament and lecturer in Palestine studies in Münster . In 1929 he was appointed professor at the Herborn Theological Seminary.
His writings include:
- The meaning of the name Israel - a source-critical investigation , Bonn 1910.
- The prophets of the OT and their opponents , Berlin 1919.
- The meaning of the name Israel - a geographical and historical study , Gütersloh 1922.
- The holy places in the past and present , Lengerich 1927.
