Eduard Salfeld

Eduard Salfeld (born April 13, 1878 in Hanover , † March 19, 1957 in Soltau ) was a German Protestant pastor and local researcher .

Eduard Salfeld was born in Hanover during the early days of the German Empire .

In addition to Grossenheidorn , his places of work included the city of Soltau, where he became the first pastor of the Luther Church , which was completed in the same year, from 1908 . Salfeld worked there as a pastor until after the Second World War in 1948.

The clergyman continued to spend his retirement in Soltau. The template for the print of the 1874 watercolor view from Aegidientorplatz to Georgstrasse by the painter Luise Hildebrand , married Salfeld (1846–1940) comes from his provenance .

On February 24, 1970, Eduard-Salfeld-Strasse in Soltau was named after him.
