Eduard Volters
Eduard Volters , born Eduard Vodicka , (born May 9, 1904 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; † October 22, 1972 in Vienna, Austria ) was an Austrian actor , director and dramaturge .
Life
After attending the Schottengymnasium , Volters studied. He was an honorary member of the Burgtheater and directed the Kammerspiele. In 1943, Volters received a teaching position for applied directing at the Academy of Fine Arts, which he fulfilled until 1945. From 1943 to 1945 he was a professor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar , from 1965 he was general secretary and deputy for several years. Director of the Vienna Burgtheater. Volters was married to Margarethe Lauer .
His honorary grave is located in the Döblinger Friedhof in Vienna (group 37, row 1, number 48).
