Eduard Winkler

Eduard Winkler (* 1799 in Leipzig ; † December 29, 1862 there ) was a German botanist . Winkler was a private scholar and teacher of botany at several public schools in Leipzig. Its official botanical author's abbreviation is “ Winkl. “He published both books and painted pictures.

Honors

After him, the plant genus Winkleria Rchb. named from the Boraginaceae family.
