Edvin Kallstenius

Edvin Kallstenius (born August 29, 1881 in Filipstad , † November 22, 1967 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish composer.

Kallstenius completed a natural science degree before studying with Stephan Krehl in Leipzig from 1904 to 1907 . He was a music critic and from 1928 to 1946 music archivist for radio in Stockholm. He was also a member of the board of the Swedish Composers' Association from 1933 to 1961 and of the Copyright Society from 1932 to 1957.

In addition to about thirty music for radio plays, he composed five symphonies and five sinfonietten , an orchestral suite , an Allegro sinfonico , a serenade , a piano concerto, chamber music works, cantatas , choral works and songs .
