Edward Benedicks (born February 9, 1879 in Menton , France , † August 24, 1960 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish sports marksman .

successes

Edward Benedicks participated in three Olympic Games . In 1908 he entered the trap competition in London and took 27th place. Four years later he started in Stockholm in three disciplines. In the trap he again missed a top placement as 38th and in a single shot at the running stag he did not get past 28th place. In the double shot, however, he achieved the second best result with 74 points and received the silver medal behind Åke Lundeberg . At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he only took part in the team competition on the running deer in a double shot, but won another silver medal in this competition. Together with Bengt Lagercrantz , Fredric Landelius , Alfred Swahn and Oscar Swahn , he finished second behind Norway and ahead of Finland.

From 1913 to 1925 Benedicks was a member of the Swedish Olympic Committee .
