Oscar Gomer Swahn (born October 20, 1847 on the Skärbo farm on Sannäsfjord near Tanum , † May 1, 1927 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish sports shooter . The multiple winner of Olympic medals is the oldest Olympic champion to this day, at 72 years old.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he won three medals, one gold medal each in the individual and team competition in the running deer (single shot) and a single bronze medal in the running stag (double shot).

Four years later in Stockholm , Oscar Swahn again won the team gold medal in the running deer discipline (single shot). At that time he was 64 years and 257 days old, which makes him the oldest Olympic champion to date. In the double-shot individual competition, he won a bronze medal. In the single-shot competition, which was won by his son Alfred Swahn , he reached 5th place.

At the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , Oscar Swahn was the oldest of all participants. He won the silver medal in the team competition in the running deer discipline (double shot). Again he set a record, because at this point he was already 72 years and 279 days old; Oscar Swahn is thus also the oldest Olympic medalist of all time in a sports competition, there were also art competitions until 1948. On the same occasion he reached fourth place in the single-shot team competition. In 1924 in Paris he had to forego participation due to illness.

In all team competitions in which Oscar Swahn won a medal, his son Alfred Swahn (* 1879, † 1931) was also in the team. He was even more successful than his father and won a total of nine medals (3 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze).
