Edwin Prochaska (born October 27, 1950 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian cabaret artist , journalist and music manager.

Act

Edwin "Didi" Prochaska, a former amateur motorcycle racer and soccer goalie, started his professional career first as a chemist and later as a pharmaceutical salesman. In 1983 he started his own business , supervising artists such as Andy Baum , Drahdiwaberl , Peter Pan, Espresso and others. a. as a manager. He acted as a concert organizer in St. Pölten in the 1980s and 90s and was also a tour manager for well-known bands. He also wrote articles as a motorcycle and cultural journalist. His ironic-satirical columns , which he wrote for the "St. Pölten Konkret" and recently also for the "Penthouse", are best known . Occasionally he also plays a cabaret program ("Kopfgeschüttelt & Stüttelt" - a column cabaret). In recent years he has had success as a singer in the "Beat Generation Ol'Star Band" in the St.Pölten area. His book "Rosarot & Himmelblau" received media attention in "Seitenblicke", "Willkommen Österreich", "Barbara Karlich Show" and many more. He is also the owner of a company in the advertising industry. Prochaska is the City of St. Pölten's Culture Prize Winner and received a special award in 2014, the "Golden Record" for decades of commitment to the music scene. Most recently, as chief curator, he organized the large-scale exhibition "From 5 o'clock Tea to Frequency".
