Eero Lehmann

Eero Lehmann (born May 17, 1974 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German fencer and German master . In 2000 he was a substitute when winning the Olympic bronze medal with the saber team.

Life

Eero Lehmann started for FC Tauberbischofsheim . 1997 he won the German league title with the saber in the World Fencing Championships in 1997 in Cape Town, he finished with the German team to fifth place, a year later at the 1998 World Fencing Championships in Chaux-de-Fonds was the team's sixth at the European Championships in 1998 demonstrated the Equipe seventh place. In 1999 Lehmann reached 22nd place in the individual ranking at the Fencing World Championships 1999 in Seoul. At the European Championships 1999 Lehmann took 15th place in the individual ranking and was fourth with the team. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , Lehmann was eliminated from the individual competition against his teammate Wiradech Kothny . Lehmann was not used in the team competition when Dennis Bauer , Wiradech Kothny and Alexander Weber won bronze, the first Olympic medal for German saber fencers since 1936.
