Egenolf Engelhard

Egenolf Engelhard (born April 5, 1903 in Wiesbaden ; † October 16, 1995 in Plettenberg ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

Engelhard was born to the married couple Anna and Adolf Engelhard. After studying mechanical engineering and economics, he joined the family-owned company, the equipment manufacturer Seissenschmidt , in 1928 and took over the management of the company after the death of his father. He had a new production facility built in 1933 and rebuilt the company after the Second World War. In the 1960s he realigned it as an automotive supplier and also opened up cement production as a new business area. From 1975 to 1977 he relocated the entire production facilities to Köbbinghausen for the redevelopment of the Plettenberg city center .
