Egghead (dt .: "egghead") is a board game by game designer Robert Abbott , the principle of the game a card game comes close. It is based on the classic guessing game Who am I? and was launched in the US in 1963 under the name What's That on My Head? brought onto the market by Games Research and published in 1974 in Germany by ASS in various versions under the name Egghead .

A game for 3 to 6 people aged 12 and over takes around 45 minutes.

Theme and equipment

The players each wear a number of letter cards on their heads in a headband. So the players don't see their own cards, only the letters of their fellow players. With the help of question cards you now have to find out which letters are on your own head. The ability to think logically is required.

Variations

A later version of the game was released by ASS, in which instead of the headband, the letter combinations to be guessed are hidden in front of the players on small card stands.

Also under the name What's That on My Head? there is an output in which numbers are to be guessed.

Code 777, which was developed in 1986 by Alex Randolph and made it into the selection list for Game of the Year , works almost on the same principle . Here it is important to find out combinations of numbers that are on your own card stand.
