Egidijus Vaitkūnas (born August 8, 1988 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian football player .

Career

societies

Egidijus Vaitkūnas played until 2005 in the youth of the VMFD Žalgiris Vilnius . For the capital club he made his debut in 2006 as a professional in the A Lyga . In 2009 and 2010 he was briefly under contract with the Lithuanian clubs Banga Gargždai and Tauras Tauragė . In 2010 he returned to his youth club and was able to win several titles with Vilnius, including the championship in 2013 . In January 2014 he and his teammate Mantas Kuklys switched to Bohemians 1905 Prague on loan in the Czech Gambrinus League .

National team

Egidijus Vaitkūnas made his debut for the Lithuanian national football team in May 2012, in the international match against Russia when he was substituted on for Vytautas Andriuškevičius . Previously it had already been used 13 times in the U-21 . With the senior national team Vaitkūnas took part in the Baltic Cup in 2012 and 2014 .
