Egon Kraus

Egon Kraus (born May 15, 1912 in Cologne ; † April 19, 2001 ) was a German music teacher .

Career

Kraus did his doctorate in Innsbruck. From 1950 on he was a lecturer at the State University of Music in Cologne and became head of the school music department at the University of Music Trossingen . From 1957 he was a professor at the Oldenburg University of Education .

He was Secretary General of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) and permanent representative of the Federal Republic of Germany at the UNESCO International Music Council .
