Badges of honor for war wounded

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The badge of honor for war wounded was an award of the Kingdom of Italy , which in 1935 by decree by King Viktor Emanuel III. was donated. The award was given to all those members of the Italian armed forces who were wounded or slightly damaged (i.e. without permanent damage) in the course of their service.

The badge of honor has the shape of a silver-colored braid and was worn on the right sleeve of the tunic, similar to the private angle of the Wehrmacht uniform. A braid was worn for every damage or wound.
