Cross of Honor for 1809 (Braunschweig)

The Cross of Honor for 1809 was on 30 October 1824 by Duke Charles II. Of Brunswick donated and could be awarded to any person who his father Duke Friedrich Wilhelm in 1809 during the fifth coalition war with the black crowd on the march from Bohemia to England had followed .

For officers Silver Gold Plated , for officers and men of bronze , it has the shape of a paw Cross . The arms of the cross are connected by a wreath of oak leaves (laurel wrapped around). The version for officers is enamelled in green with a red acorn. In the middle of the cross the jumping welfenhorse on a piece of lawn. On the arms of the cross from top to bottom the inscription CARL FRIEDRICH AUGUST WILHELM. On the back in the cross arms FÜR TREUE UND TAPFERKEITand in the middle the year 1809.

The ribbon is dark blue.
