The Mallorca Cowboys (short: Cowboys ) are a German music duo. Her biggest success was with Markus Becker Place 4 of the German Single - Charts entitled the Red Horse .
Career
The Mallorca Cowboys, consisting of Sebastian Rolko and Marc Horstmannshoff from Mülheim an der Ruhr , met at the beginning of 2000 and initially founded the band to finance their studies. They started with smaller parties in the greater Ruhr area. The radius widened quickly, also because in 2000 they developed the "lasso dance" to Olaf Hennings Cowboy and Indian , which brought them attention in the press.
In April 2006 the Mallorca Cowboys had the idea to re-record the children's song of the “red horse” so that it was suitable for a party. The original was the chanson Milord , composed in 1959 by Georges Moustaki and Marguerite Monnot and made famous in 1960 in the interpretation of Édith Piaf . Together with friends and family, Rolko and Horstmannshoff played as Mallorca Cowboys & Friends . Markus Becker, well-known in the Ballermann scene, became aware of the cowboys through his success in après-ski and carnival . He proposed a joint re-recording of the title in order to make it known on Mallorca and on the golden sands in Bulgaria . On July 27, 2007, the CD was released for the second time by EMI . In March 2008, the Mallorca Cowboys performed at the music show The Dome . In June 2009 the Mallorca Cowboys became aware of Lollies' new hit, Arsch im Sand . They contacted the band and developed the party dance to this song.
