Ehsan Aman
Ehsan Aman (* 1959 in Laschkar Gah , Afghanistan ) is an Afghan singer .
biography
Ehsan was born in Laschkar Gah in Helmand in 1959 . His father, Mohammed Ibrahim Aman, was an engineer . Ehsan had a great interest in music as a child. He learned to play the accordion . After graduating from school, he received a scholarship to the University of Kabul . He should become an engineer like his father.
Ehsan's serious interest in music began in Kabul University. As a student he was in many performances. Ehsan's popularity began to rise. However, there was tension between Ehsan and the media. Some of his songs were banned on Radio Kabul. Ehsan's earliest work included the hit single Bute 'Daram, which he had already sung for relatives. This popularity led to national attention. He fled to Pakistan in 1981 . In October 1982 he fled to the USA . In 1985 he married his wife Sahar, who is the daughter of the late Afghan poet and composer Nainawaz . He is also a calligrapher .
Ehsan Aman also wrote a song for the film "Kite Runner".
Career
In 1983 he released his first album Musafer , which has been followed by five more albums so far. However, the adjustment to a new country was a burden for him and his family. In January 2002 he was commissioned by the Afghan Embassy in the USA to write the new national anthem. For the film Kite Runner Ehsan Aman wrote the two tracks "Omaid e Man" and "Dukhtare Darya", which are featured on the official soundtrack, and also played a small role in the film (himself as a wedding singer). In 2010, he and Natalie Cole recorded two titles for The Black Tulip . The film marked Afghanistan's entry into the 2011 Academy Awards.
