history

Eichbusch is a young settlement. The row of houses was laid out in 1818 west of Kötzschau (Kleindehsa) below the eponymous wooded knoll "Eichbusch" on the corridors of the Niederlauba estate. The settlement, mostly inhabited by carpenters and bricklayers, used to belong to the municipality of Lauba . Later five of the six properties formed a district of the municipality of Kleindehsa, while the northernmost property was assigned to the cadastre of Halbau in the municipality of Cunewalde. As part of the municipality of Kleindehsa, the largest part of Eichbusch was incorporated into Lawalde on March 1, 1994.
