Eichelscheiderhof is a district of Waldmohr in the Kusel district in Rhineland-Palatinate . Originally the Hofgut belonged to the Duchy of Zweibrücken and was located in the Jägersburg district . When the Saar area was formed in 1920, the estate left the Jägersburg community and was added to Waldmohr.

The name appears for the first time at Tielemann Stella in 1587 as "Eichenschitt" and refers to the rich oak stocks of the district.

The Eichelscheider Hof itself was first mentioned in a document in 1704 when it was founded. During the construction of the Jägersburg hunting lodge near the district town of Homburg / Saar , the farm was converted into a stately stud farm and was used by the famous Zweibrücken breeders until the end of the Second World War . Napoleon's show horse came from the Eichelscheider Hof.

The stables are horseshoe-shaped with a large inner courtyard and have been partially converted into apartments. The entrance to the gate dominates the look. To the right of the stables is the former manor house.

The village of Jägersburg belonged entirely to Waldmohr and was only a part of Waldmohr. It was not until the occupation of the Saar region in 1918 that Jägersburg separated from Waldmohr. Through this border Jägersburg became an independent municipality.
