Eichin Racing Team

The Eichin Racing Team is a German motorsport team based in Nimburg in the south-west of Baden-Württemberg .

history

The Eichin Racing Team was founded in 1980 and was successful with BMW vehicles in the first few years. The two-time European mountain champion Rolf Göring is one of the well-known drivers from the early days .

The team boss Walter Eichin is one of the founding members of the Porsche brand cup series . Eichin Racing was already successful in the first few years with the Porsche 944 Turbo at the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup and built on what the team had already achieved with BMW in previous years. In the series of the Porsche Carrera Cup in 1993 the team with driver Wolfgang Land won the fastest brands cup in Europe with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup . Land had three wins and was on the victory pot five times a season. In 1999 the Eichin team was runner-up in the Porsche Carrera Cup with Christian Menzel , who achieved an overall victory and was on the podium four times during the season.

Promotion of young talent

In the 2005 season, Walter Eichin's team supported the young up-and-coming drivers Alexander Roloff and Dominik Farnbacher . In the 2008 season, the Eichin team took part in the Porsche Carrera Cup with two Porsche 911 GT3s and drivers Pascal Kochem and Mike Verschuur.
