Eigil Bryld

Eigil Bryld (* 1971 ) is a Danish cameraman .

Life

Eigil Bryld grew up in Denmark. In 1992 he graduated from Coleg Gwent in Wales with a degree in film and video production . He then moved to London , where he worked as a camera assistant. His first feature film as a cameraman was the Danish drama Ein Tag im Mai, published in 1996 and directed by Anders Rønnow Klarlund . Since then he has made several international films, including in Denmark, Great Britain and the United States. He received a BAFTA TV Award in 2001 for his work on Wisconsin Death Trip . He received a nomination for the Danish Robert Film Award in 2003 as Best Cinematographer for his work on Charlie Butterfly . In 2010 he was nominated for an Emmy for the first time with A Life for Death , and in 2013 he received the Emmy for his camera work in House of Cards .

Bryld is married to the Danish writer Naja Marie Aidt , with whom he has had a son since 2003.
