After his first book flopped, the unhappily married writer Richard Dunn retired to Long Island to work on his new work. Richard hallucinates and sees an imaginary superhero with whom he is in constant dialogue. Richard meets young Abby, who like him is in an unhappy relationship. A deep friendship develops between the two.

The film premiered on June 15, 2009 at the Los Angeles Film Festival . In Europe it was released as a DVD premiere, in Poland on August 2, 2010, in Sweden on October 27, 2010 and in the Netherlands on December 20, 2011. In Germany, the film has been on DVD and Blu since June 10, 2011 -Ray available.
