Richard N. Gladstein

Richard N. Gladstein (born June 4, 1961 in Bronx , New York City ) is an American film producer .

Life

Gladstein grew up in his native New York City. In 1983 he began his education at the College of Communications at Boston University . After graduating, he worked from 1986 at Brighton Beach Memoirs , then at Dino DeLaurentiis Corporation and at Anjelika Films in Manhattan . Then he was deputy general director of Miramax Films , where he was also the production manager of Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction , Sean Penn's Crossing Guard - It Happened on the Open Street , Robert Altman's Ready to Wear .

Gladstein began his career in the late 1980s when he produced the three parts of the Silent Night, Deadly Night film series.

In May 1995 he founded his own production company, FilmColony, Ltd. in Los Angeles , where he still works today .

It was nominated twice for an Oscar , in 2005 for When Dreams Learn to Fly and in 2000 for God's Work and Devil's Contribution .
