Young Americans (alternative title: Young Americans - Death Games ; original title: The Young Americans ) is a British crime film from 1993 . Directed by Danny Cannon , who co- wrote the script with David Hilton .

action

The London police are investigating a series of murders and suspect a connection with US drug dealers led by Carl Frazer. Frazer recruits his helpers from young people fascinated by American culture.

The British policemen ask their American colleagues for help, whereupon the New York policeman John Harris travels to London. Harris tries to confront Frazer. This leads to more murders.

Reviews

The magazine Time Out London wrote that the "ambitious" film is skilfully made visually, but his pace was uneven. It is a "sleek, brutal design crime film for style-conscious tweens" .

The Lexicon of International Films wrote that the film was a drug thriller trying to "portray the drug business as a dirty industry" . He is "photographed chic" , but he "despite his good leading actor [...] does not get beyond mediocrity" .
