This article shows the population development of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Katowice Voivodeship in tabular and graphical form.

On December 31, 2012, the official population of the Silesian Voivodeship was 4,615,870. According to data from the CIS, the voivodeship had the highest population in 1999, the year it was founded, with around 4,882,400 inhabitants at the beginning of the year.
