Eirjet ( spelling eirjet ) was an Irish charter airline based in Shannon and based at Shannon Airport .

history

The airline was founded in 2004 and began operating on December 23, 2004. In 2005, two more aircraft of the same type were added to the initial fleet of two Airbus A320-200s . In the same year, Eirjet also tried to obtain traffic rights for transcontinental flights to the United States , but this failed.

Due to errors of management, especially regarding the Verleasens its own aircraft to Ryanair , which could have been even required to conduct their own flights, the airline on 18 October 2006 had to cease operations.
