Eisagoge aucta

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eisagogē aucta (previously incorrectly Epanagogē aucta ) is a Middle Byzantine legal book .

The Eisagogē aucta has come down to us in around 10 complete manuscripts and consists of 53 and 54 titles, respectively. In the first titles it is based on the Eisagogē tou nomou , then (from title 17) on the Procheiros nomos . The compiler also used the so-called basilicas and the novellas of Leon VI. , of which he paraphrased about 30 and included in his work. The legal book could be a revision of the Eisagogē cum Prochiro composita - dating to around 920-930 .
