The Railway University Pyongyang (평양 철도 대학) or University of Railway Engineering is a university in North Korea .
history
The college was founded on September 1, 1959 as the Pyongyang College of Transportation and consists of four faculties . It was later given its current name. The buildings and equipment have recently been modernized. E-learning has recently also been possible. Allegedly, the university is also responsible for the development of the new vehicles for the urban metro .

Around 100 teachers are employed at the university and 500 students are enrolled . There are more than 50 chairs . There are also exchange programs with Jiaotong University in Beijing and State Transport University in Omsk .
There is also the option of distance learning and evening courses.
