The 1995/96 season was the 76th season of the Eredivisie , the highest Belgian ice hockey division . The Griffoens Geel became champions for the first time in the club's history .

The main round was divided into two groups of four teams each. The first two in each group qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
