The 2009/10 season was the 90th season of the Eredivisie , the highest Belgian ice hockey division . The Chiefs Leuven became champions for the second time in the club's history .

In the main round, the five teams played 16 games each. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
