Elżbieta Radziszewska

Elżbieta Radziszewska (born January 6, 1958 in Białocin ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Career

She studied medicine at the Łódź Medical Academy (now the Łódź Medical University ). In 1982 she became an assistant in the regional hospital in Piotrków Trybunalski . From 1991 to 2001 she worked as a doctor in a private medical practice. In the 1997 parliamentary elections , she ran for the Unia Wolności and entered the Sejm for the first time . In 2001 she switched to the newly founded citizens' platform. With this she was also successful in the 2001 , 2005 and early 2007 elections . Since March 17, 2008, she has worked as State Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office. On April 30th that year, she became the government's equal opportunities commissioner . She held both offices until November 21, 2011. On September 24, 2014, she was elected Vice Marshal of the Sejm; she succeeded Cezary Grabarczyk in this office .

Elżbieta Radziszewska is married.
