Cezary Stanisław Grabarczyk (born April 26, 1960 in Łódź ) is a Polish politician. From 2007 to 2011 he was Minister of Infrastructure in First Cabinet of Donald Tusk , from 2011 to 2014 one of the Deputy Marshals (vice-president) of the Sejm and from 2014 to 2015 Minister of Justice in the Cabinet Kopacz .

Life

Cezary Grabarczyk attended the 4th general high school "Emilia Sczaniecka" in Łódź and was from 1967 to 1983 member of the Polish scout organization Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego . In 1984 he completed his law and administration studies at the University of Łódź and was subsequently admitted to practice law in the city. In 1987 he became the inspector of the Bałuty housing association in Łódź. In 1989 he completed an internship in a law firm. In 1990 he became head of the Łódź region for Unia Polityki Realnej . From 1988 to 1996 he was an assistant at the Chair of Constitutional Law at the University of Łódź. In 1994 he joined the Unia Wolności (Freedom Union) and remained a member until 2001. From April 3, 1998 to March 23, 1999, he worked at Urząd Zamówień Publicznych (Public Procurement Office) in Warsaw. In March 1999, he became vice voivode of the newly formed Lodz Province and remained so until March 7, 2001. In January 2001 he became a member of the Civic Platform (Civic Platform) . For this he moved into the Polish Sejm in 2001 . In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2005 he was again given a seat in the Sejm and became chairman of the Commission for Justice and Human Rights . He was also a member of the National Defense Commission and the Extraordinary Commission . During this time he was also involved in building an airport near Lublin, the S8 expressway and a bypass for Wieluń . In 2006 he became chairman of the Łódź Voivodeship Civic Platform. In the early parliamentary elections in Poland in 2007 he again won a seat in parliament and was appointed Minister for Infrastructure by Donald Tusk in his first cabinet . After the 2011 general election , he was elected one of the vice-presidents and did not return to government. In the Kopacz cabinet , he took over the post of Justice Minister on September 22, 2014, and was succeeded by Elżbieta Radziszewska as Vice-Marshal . On April 30, 2015, Grabarczyk was recalled as minister.

Cezary Grabarczyk is married and has two children.
