Bartosz Adam Arłukowicz ( listen ? / I ) (born December 30, 1971 in Resko ) is a Polish politician , doctor, lecturer at the Szczecin Medical Academy , Member of the Sejm since 2007 and Minister of Health from 2011 to 2015. Audio file / audio sample

He finished his studies at the Medical Academy in Szczecin . From 2002 to 2007 he was City Councilor of Szczecin.

He belonged to the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (Federation of the Democratic Left - SLD), but resigned from the party on May 11, 2004 and became a member of Socjaldemokracja Polska (Social Democracy of Poland - SdPl), on whose list he was unsuccessful in the 2005 parliamentary elections a seat of parliament in the Sejm was running. He is chairman of the SdPl in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Zachodniopomorskie). In the local elections in 2006, he was head of the electoral staff of the candidate of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) for the post of President of the City of Szczecin, Jacek Piechota . In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Szczecin with 21,543 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD). He was a member of the Sejm Commissions for Economy and Health. In the 2011 elections he was able to win a seat for the Sejm with 101,746 votes in the constituency 41 Szczecin.

Since April 22, 2008 he was a member of the newly founded SdPl-Nowa Lewica parliamentary group. In mid-2011 he moved to the faction of the Platforma Obywatelska .

On November 18, 2011, he became Minister of Health in Donald Tusk's cabinet . He kept this post in the Kopacz cabinet . After resigning from office a few days earlier, he was legally dismissed by President Bronisław Komorowski on June 15, 2015 .

At the request of children from various orphanages and social institutions, he received the international award of a Cavalier of the Order of Smiles .
