El Mostafa Nechchadi

El Mostafa Nechchadi (born November 15, 1962 ) is a former Moroccan long-distance runner who specialized in road running.

Life

In 1987 he finished second in the London Marathon , but did not finish at the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Rome . In 1988 he won the Roma - Ostia race , but had to give up again at the marathon of the Olympic Games in Seoul .

In 1989 he won the Great North Run and the Philadelphia Half Marathon .

He later became a successful trainer who, among other things, mentors Catherine Ndereba .
