Elaine Silburn
Elaine Silburn (married Young; * 1926 in Victoria , British Columbia ) is a former Canadian long and high jumper and sprinter .
In 1948 she was eliminated from the qualification in the long jump at the Olympic Games in London and came 19th in the high jump.
At the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 , she won bronze with the Canadian 660-yard relay. In the long and high jump she was fifth, over 220 yards she was eliminated in the run.
From 1947 to 1949 she was Canadian champion in the long jump three times in a row.
