The Elbe-Elster-TV (EDF) is a private local information TV channel in the Elbe-Elster district . The program organizer is ETV - Medienservice und Vertriebs GmbH , based in Elsterwerda , where the studio and the editorial rooms are also located.

history

A license from the responsible media authority Berlin-Brandenburg (MABB) was applied for under the provisional name "Stadtfernsehen Elsterwerda" and then prepared under the name "Elster TV - Lokalfernsehen Elsterwerda". The program went on air locally in September 1996 as ElsterTV with weekly program loops . Later the transmission area was extended to the old district of Bad Liebenwerda .
