history

Siam Sinfonietta at the Thai Festival 2015 in Bad Homburg

The orchestra was founded in 2010 as part of the first "Bach to the Future" training camp. In the first year, many concerts were given in Thailand at which classical music was introduced to new audiences and, above all, to young people.

International tours started in the second year. At the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna in July 2012 they won first place in the “Symphony Orchestra” category.

They initially toured California in 2013 . Then they took part in the Young Euro Classic in Berlin and toured Germany. In August 2015 they gave several concerts at the Bayreuth Young Artists Festival . They then performed at the Thai Festival in Bad Homburg.

Every year musicians up to the age of 25 have the opportunity to audition. Some members also play with the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra . Siam Sinfonietta has performed twice with the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra : at the Thai premiere of Mahler's 3rd Symphony and at a gala concert in front of the Central World Plaza in Ratchaprasong , Bangkok , at the “Healing through Harmony” event at the 2010 Troublesome .

The orchestra is mainly financed by state support and donations from private individuals and companies.
